Can I use email aliases?
Yes. Through your Mail Manager, you can set up aliases which make it possible to have email sent to one address go to another. For example, you can set up an email alias so that mail which is sent to webmaster@yourdomain.com goes to jim@yourdomain.com.

You can set up as many email aliases as you have email accounts.

Does "annually" mean that I pay up front or monthly for one year?
You must pay the full year at once in order to receive the yearly discount.

Will you place advertisements on my site?
Absolutely not. We will not place banner ads, pop-up ads, etc. on your website.

Will my WebSite Manager work on a Macintosh?
Yes. Your WebSite Manager is web-based, which means that you can access it from any computer with Internet access.

Can I access my website without the www.?
Yes. You can access your website with or without the www.

Do you host foreign domain names?
Yes. All domain names will work with All Pro Web Designs accounts.

Does each account have its own raw log files?
Yes. You have access to your own raw log files.

Do you provide a database system?
Our Plus and Pro Plans offer a MySQL Database. MySQL is an easy-to-use database engine that allows you to create database-driven websites, maintain customer information, and more. A friendly interface enables you to administer your database right through your WebSite Manager.

What are your server specifications?
Our servers run a UNIX-like operating system called Linux with Apache web server software.

What type of website security do you provide?
All Pro Web Designs customers are able to use our shared server-wide Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate at no additional cost.

Can we password protect areas with .htaccess?
Yes. Each WebSite Manager has an easy-to-use password protection utility that uses .htaccess. However, FrontPage users must use the password protection utility that comes with their software.

Do you provide a cgi-bin?
Yes, a cgi-bin is provided with every hosting account. You can run your own CGI or PERL scripts on your website by putting them in your personal cgi-bin directory.

Do you have anonymous FTP?
No. All Pro Web Designs does offer the ability to add multiple accounts that act like anonymous FTP accounts. They allow you to create a public directory within your website where you can upload files through this directory using a Web browser or FTP client.

Do you have a limit on the FTP transfers?
You can update your pages an unlimited number of times, however, the total data that you FTP will count against your bandwidth quota for the month.

What services do you offer?
We provide fast, reliable web hosting, domain registration services and professional web design and implementation.

Do you offer dial-up Internet access?
No, our focus is hosting and domain registration. You must acquire your own Internet access. We would suggest a provider that includes an SMTP service.

How much space do I have for email?
Your website and email share the space provided in your hosting plan, you may use this space for which ever purpose you need.

Example: If you are on the Standard Plan and are using 5MB for you website, then you will have 45MB available for your email.

Can I run two cron tasks in the same day?
Yes.

Which languages are supported in CGI?
Bash Scripting, Shell, Python and Perl are all supported and available. All Pro Web Designs does not support Java Servlets at this time.

Do you charge additional fees for hosting a secure website?
No, If you use All Pro Web Designs's shared Secure Sockets Layer(SSL). This is a free standard feature.

Do you support SSH?
Our Plus and Pro Plans offer SSH.

Can I purchase extra bandwidth and/or space?
Yes. You are able to purchase additional resources.

Can I pay extra to add a shopping cart to the Standard Plan?
No, our shopping cart is only available with the Plus and Pro Plans.

What programs can be used to access e-mail?
Each web hosting account comes with WebMail at no extra cost. WebMail makes it possible for you to send and receive email from any computer with Internet access.

All POP clients can be used including pine, elm, Netscape mail, and Outlook. You can use any program which downloads the files from our server onto your computer. You can use mail user agents which run on our servers (such as pine), with a special configuration. You cannot use IMAP programs.

Can I use email auto responders?
Yes. Through your Mail Manager you can set up email auto responders so that a reply will automatically be sent whenever someone sends an email to a certain account.

Auto responders do not quote the original message and you can set them up on any or all of your email accounts.

Do you have sendmail installed?
Yes.

Do I have to have a domain name to sign up for a hosting plan?
No. You can register your domain name at the same time you sign up for your web hosting account.

Will my account work with text-based browsers?
Yes.

What kind of up-time do your servers have?
Well maintained equipment and a responsive server administration team keep our server up-time at around 99.5%, one of the highest in the industry.

Can I run cgi scripts outside the cgi-bin?
No, cgi scripts must be kept in the cgi-bin directory.

Do you support Cold Fusion?
We do not support Cold Fusion. Our Plus and Pro Plans come with a free MySQL database.

Do you support Java servlets(JSP)?
No.

Do you support Openshop?
Yes. We support Openshop ecommerce software.

Do you support Active Data Objects (ADO)?
No.

Do you offer Telnet?
For our customer's security, we have removed the ability to telnet. On our Plus and Pro Plans, we offer OpenSSH, which allows you to do the same things as telnet, but compresses and encrypts the connection.

Do you support PHP4?
Yes.

Do you offer web-based email?
Yes. Every account comes with WebMail at no extra charge. WebMail makes it possible for you to send and receive email from any computer with Internet access.

How do I manage my email accounts?
Every account has a Mail Manager where you can add, edit, and remove email accounts. You can also set up email aliases, auto responders, and email forwarding.

Do you offer ODBC?
No. ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) requires massive amounts of bandwidth, and there is a huge security risk with remote database connections.
